Brandon Twp.- Registration for STARS (Student Tutoring and Reading Sessions) will be 8 a.m- 11 a.m., Sept. 18 and 2 p.m.- 5 p.m., Sept. 19, at the Sashabaw Meadows Clubhouse, 4359 Dogwood Blvd.
The free program, for children in grades K-4 who live in the Sashabaw Meadows and Clarkston Lakes mobile home parks, begins Sept. 25, and will be from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a goal to increase to four days a week in the second semester.
The program aims to help students who need assistance with organizational skills, homework and reading.
