Brandon Twp. — On Nov. 28 the Brandon Blackhawks Boys Varsity Basketball team opened the 2023-24 season with a non-league 48-43 win over the Durand Railroaders.
“Drew Hickmott lead the team in scoring with 16 points and three steals while Tom Whalen had eight points and eight rebounds,” said Blackhawk Head Coach Mike Stewart. “It was a real team effort and the guys showed a lot of persistence in fighting back from a 10 point halftime deficit.”
The Blackhawks open Flint Metro League play on Dec. 5 at Kearsley High School.
