Corunna— The Goodrich Boys Varsity Basketball team improved to 6-3 overall and 3-0 in the Flint Metro League with a 56-47 road win over the Corunna Cavaliers on Jan. 9.
The Martians jumped out to a 30-17 halftime lead for the league win. The Cavaliers outscored the Martians in the second half 30-26.
GHS Jr. #1 Parker LePla lead the Martians with 21 points, younger brother GHS Fr. #3 Jensen LePla tallied 19 points and GHS Jr. Landon Williams #5 Jr. had 7 points in the victory.
On Jan. 12, the Brandon Blackhawks play at Goodrich for the annual “Pink Out” Coaches vs. Cancer game.
