Martians snag first ever D3 Girls Regional Golf crown

Alma — The Goodrich Girls Golf Team stamped their names in the archive books by winning the D3 Region16 Championship at the Pine River CC in Alma. It’s the first Regional Championship Crown since the inception of the girls golf program in 2014.
The Lady Martians posted a team score of 347 finishing 31 strokes better than second place finisher Freeland. Madi Sheerin carded a score of 78 for Runner-Up individual honors followed by Sanor Kochan’s third place finish score of 81. Freshman Brookelyn Webb tied her career low round of 92 to place her ninth. Teammate Hailey Madill finished tied for  11th with a career low round of 96
Goodrich will move on to the D-3 State Finals on Oct. 20-21 hosted at the Meadows Golf Course located on the campus of Grand Valley State University.
