Martians tame Mustangs, sweep twinbill

Goodrich— On May 6, the Goodrich Varsity Baseball team busted out the brooms and swept the Clio Mustangs in a twinbill 11-1 in the first game and 10-2 in the nightcap.
In game one GHS Gavin Dunn pitched five innings giving up just one earned run on five hits and striking out seven. Dunn along with Cole Ilijanic each had two hits as the Martians scattered 11 hits and played error free defense.
In the second game delivered seven innings with just one earned run, giving up five hits and fanning nine Mustangs. Dunn scored four runs while teammate Carson Raether had two RBIs.
“We have bounced back and played well this week,” said Head Coach Ben Almasy. “Clio is very good and we played our best games on Monday. “It’s fun watching this team grow. They play the game the right way.”
