Lansing— State Representative David Martin (R-Davision) of the new 68th District recieved the oath of office earlier this month.
The 68th District now covers southeast Genesee County, including Atlas Township, Goodrich, Davison, Davison Township, Grand Blanc, the majority of Burton, parts of Grand Blanc Township and Genesee Township. It also includes Groveland Township in Oakland County.
“My goal is to continue to make our community a better place to live, work, and retire,” Martin said. “I can’t do that if I don’t listen to the issues that matter most to local families. I encourage everyone to contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas they might have. I also have an experienced team, with roots in our local community, who will continue to provide excellent and responsive service to residents navigating state government. If you need help with a state program, my office is only a phone call or an email away.”
Rep. Martin will serve as Republican vice chair of the House Natural Resources, Environment, Tourism and Outdoor Recreation Committee during the 2023-24 legislative session. He will also serve on the Economic Development and Small Business Committee.
“The people I serve want our small businesses to thrive and they care deeply about our state’s natural resources and its tourism and outdoor recreation industries,” Martin said. “I’m looking forward to serving as their voice on these topics and all of the other issues we address at the Capitol.”
