Ortonville —From noon-6 p.m. June 10, at the Old Town Hall, 486 Mill St., the third annual Ortonville/Brandon Road Rally & Scavenger Hunt will begin.
“We encourage teams to dress up and decorate their cars,” said Andrea Webster, Rally coordinator. “Rules of the road apply, most of the clues are just in the Ortonville area.”
All participants check in at noon when the clues are distributed. The teams report back at 3 p.m. and hang out at the Ortonville Block Party downtown while the points are tallied. The cost is $20 per team with cash prizes for the top winners.
“The challenges include tasks around the area, photography, riddle solving and a few unique game changers,” she said.
Webster said the rally and scavenger hunt started during the Covid 19 time about three years ago as an event to get people outside, she said.
“The first event was in April and it snowed,” she said. “In early June the weather should be great and it’s a lot of fun to meet new people. Many local businesses participate and it’s a great way to visit a few of the area stores. We also have a raffle with funds donated to OCEF.”
The list of local business is growing and include: Little Things Country Store & Boutique, Hamilton’s of Ortonville, For the Love of Local, Bullfrog’s Bar & Grill, Impact North Nutrition & Shake Bar, Amedae Salon, Hill Floral & Decor Studio, Boat Bar, The Village Pub, 5th & Pinned, Willow Pointe, Restyled Creations, O’Malley’s Galley, Michigan Timber Shack, Studio 15, Papa Bella’s Pizza, Jillian Wyatt Photographhy and South Street Exchange.
Ryan Lloyd with Big O Sound Entertainment is donating his time and talent for the day.
